Hollie Rogers is a London based singer, songwriter and guitarist with an incredibly powerful voice. Her live performances consistently receive outstanding reviews, with regular reference to the level of honesty in her lyrics and songs. With the backing of BBC Introducing and two stunning studio albums under her belt, Hollie has supported acts like Suzanne Vega, Ralph McTell, Midge Ure and Paolo Nutini. Often playing with a full backing band or as a duo with double bass, and performing with notable candour, her live shows are not to be missed.
As of 2019, Hollie’s music is playlisted in all Caffè Nero stores worldwide and she has performed a session for Whispering Bob Harris at his home studio. Her fan-base recently came together to crowdfund a new release through Kickstarter. ‘The Body To Ground EP’, produced by 4-time Grammy-nominated James McMillan, features Thomas Holder on double bass, with Mark Edwards (Katie Melua) on piano, and is available to stream now on iTunes and Spotify.
“A magnificent and powerful voice” – Suzanne Vega
“A sensitive and observant songwriter” – Ralph McTell
“Reminiscent of Carole King & Joni Mitchell. Amazing voice” – Nick Mason (Pink Floyd)
Markus began his Sound Refuge project in Vancouver and since his debut album “Umbrellas In Winter” in 2010 he has been accompanied by imaginative and exceptionally talented musicians both on stage and in the studio, many of which he is proud to call his friends. In 2014 Markus relocated the project to London, England to continue itʼs growth.
Busking on the streets of London has become a constant, enlightening and brilliant part of Markus’ life and career as a musician. You can find him along the South Bank by the London Eye, at Borough Market, on the streets of Greenwich or anywhere. Just a friendly face performing his own works and mixings in favourites from the rest of the musical world.
Solo or with the band, Markus Michelucci and Sound Refuge have often been likened to James Taylor, Cat Stevens, The Great Lake Swimmers and Passenger. Always bringing audiences a range of alternative, contemporary folk music from the calm and reassuring to the passionate and cerebral; they create an alluring world of instrumentation, with powerful lead moments, harmony and hopeful, inspiring lyrics. The latest release, “Excuse Me, I Think You’re In Neutral”, is available online and at live performances. Keep your eyes peeled for a new album coming soon!
After years of playing Beaches, BBQs and Bedrooms, the intimacy and honesty of those nights spent with friends is engrained in Tom’s songwriting and performance, making rooms full of strangers feel instantly at home.
Weaving together infectiously uplifting grooves and powerful, thought provoking lyrics, the Italian singer-songwriter and “artivist” Roaman has made the road his home to be a catalyst for positive inner and outer change. With silky-smooth vocals, engaging presence and his signature sunshine sound, Roaman’s music speaks straight to the heart of the peaceful rebels, the fearless lovers and the dreamers of a new dream.
