Blair Jollands & Acer Maple – LUNA BASEMENT

”Hello friends. I’m returning to The Luna Lounge (downstairs) on Friday 12th July 2019. Joined by the amazing trio – Acer Maple (see below). This is a rare London performance for my 2019 calendar so I’d love to see you there!! Tickets will be on pre-sale later this week and at the door.

Acer Maple express the most tender sentiments through a careful blend of genuine soul/jazz and country/folk in a way that sets them apart from the typical RnB sensibility, but provides more groove and richer harmony than your average acoustic outfit. Renowned gospel vocalist and session singer Sharlene Hector features on their debut release “Early” and joins them on the nightt along with master players Oli Savill on percussion and David Austin + Danny Fisher on guitar.”

Blair Jollands is a compelling recording artist. His compositions are cinematic in scope and call to mind aspects of Nick Cave‘s songwriting, Bowie’s new sound and Beck at his heartbroken best. As well as an ear for lush instrumentation, Jollands brings his award-winning sound design skills to his music, incorporating found sounds and samples into his productions. He has previously collaborated with Boy George and The Strokes producer Gordon Raphael, and released albums under his alter ego El Hula.
