Lewis McKale + Otto + Absent Sons + Soulfools

Lewis McKale – 7pm 

Lewis Mckale has been writing and recording his own music for the past 6 years, his debut EP, My Father’s Son was released in 2011, the follow up, The Bigger Picture EP was released in 2013. Lewis released a covers EP, Something Borrowed, which received radio play on Juice FM Brighton on Chris T-T’s Midnight Campfire and was invited to open for him as part of his UK tour.
Lewis went on to release a split EP entitled, Reflections, with fellow Brighton based singer/songwriter, Matt Bonner.
In 2017, Lewis will be releasing his next EP, Black and White and will be releasing a split EP with Brighton based artist, Bad Mother Folker.
Lewis has gigged across the UK and Europe and has shared the stage with artists such as John Power (The La’s/Cast), Dave McPherson (InMe), Chris T-T, Nell Bryden and Attilla The Stockbroker and many more.

Otto – 8pm 

Otto is a solo artist from South Wales. Having graduated from the prestigious Forte Project and been championed by the likes of Adam Walton (BBC Radio Wales) and Bethan Elfyn (BBC Radio 1), he has already been singled-out as one of the most talented artists of his generation. Over recent years Ottohas played as a support for acclaimed acts such as Louis Baker and Saint Raymond, and he has performed everywhere from HubFest and Landed Festival to Swansea Fringe, Swn Fest and HowTheLightGetsIn. His new EP (Post) was supported by the BBC Horizons Launchpad Fund, recorded by Charlie Francis (Future of the Left, High Llamas, R.E.M.) and will be released on 26th September.

Absent Sons – 9pm

Absent Sons are an acoustic blues duo covering classic and modern blues. Their influences range from the original bluesmen of the Mississippi Delta to today’s modern blues artists, and everything in between. The band features Matt Corrall on harmonica and lead vocals, and Luke Davies-Cooke on guitar and backing vocals.
