Are You Ready For The Country? East Lonesome Drifters play ‘country AND western’..

“We got both kinds of music here–we got country AND western”. East Lonesome Drifters is a five-piece outfit that play a tribute to country, western swing, Bakersfield and bluegrass. Weaving the story of the genres through a conscious curation of songs, ELD does arrangements of classics from the likes of Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Bob Wills, Gram Parsons, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Steve Earle and other traditional influences. ELD winds down country paths of Americana with three part harmonies, acoustic guitar, pedal steel, telecaster and bass, with the occasional accordion, washboard, dobro, banjo and harmonica thrown in. The results stay true to their roots influences and are true to the claim of the most authentic country honky tonk band in the UK!
